Gom tv is not just an english tournament. It has nothing to do with english commentary, Gom tv would do it even if they didn't support english commentary.
but i am with you about the premium vod's and not being able to view valor

@peticco taseless doesn't look tired he look drunk :)
On a more serious issue I'm having mixed feelings about the whole KesPA thing, i mean i like eng commentary and all but where would SC gaming be without KesPA, nowhere NEAR where it is now.
You gotta give them that.
And GomTV putting putting them selfs on some moral highground about the community take a look at the viewing figures on
premium/non premium VOD's
And about SC1/SC2 I hope there would still be a vibrant SC1 scene
But if SC2 has the same playability and amazing balance it might be a proplaying hit too :)
@hahaimhenry
Well some things are done ruleswise to keep the game experience consistant, you can see how they are moding the American football rules to keep the game looking and feeling the way they want it to do.

In terms of SC2, with the pro teams and things, I think the lower-tier players will definitely convert quickly and it'll be interesting to see the reaction of the top-tier players. Since the lower-tier players have a better chance of being better at SC2, it only makes sense they'll convert easily. The stronger players... they aren't sure because they don't know if SC2 will become a boom or a bust. And if they believe it is a boom they will stop practicing SC and begin with SC2, if it's a bust they will continue SC and ignore SC2. It'll be a difficult choice for them but I think that is where the seed of confusion will begin.

And if KesPA doesn't see the English movement to be significant enough, they are truly blinding themselves from everything because I personally wrote an essay on Starcraft becoming an Olympic sport and completely aced it. Is my English the best? No. But the points I made were so valid it sounded crazy but it worked. And will Starcraft ever become an Olympic sport? Probably not. But it shows the complete evolution of the game.
It's also not fair that KesPA, even though they are controlling SKT T1, to stop their players from participating in GOMTV tournaments. And though it is obvious KesPA cares nothing about the foreign community, I'm honestly getting tired of watching jon747 and nevake's VODs of Korean commentators screaming and yelling, and though it also sounds crazy, I think me, along with the rest of the foreign community is missing out on something. Maybe something that would help all of us improve our game. Well I wouldn't know because I don't speak Korean.
However having Daniel and Nick along with the Starcraft commentating volunteers (Klazart, Diggity, Cholera, Moletrap etc.) It not only makes it more exciting but it helps players believe it or not. And with these commentators, it's easier to understand the Korean scene a lot better and creates a better relationship between Korea and the world, which WILL help Starcraft fanbase and revenue if that's what they want.

It's great there are English commentators, Kespa needs to open their eyes and see the big picture. Right now they're really secluding Korea from the rest of the world. If they want money they better start English commentaries because it's only getting bigger.
That is why I respect team eSTRO so much because they have the balls to draft foreign players, who may not be the best but certainly expands Starcraft.
And I also believe Kespa is getting a bit ridiculous lately(Artosis has pointed it out) with their rules and everything and they're really taking the excitement out of Starcraft. I mean when it omes down to it, Starcraft is just a game for everybody to enjoy. Why try putting a bunch of stupid rules in that will only kill fanbase along with players. Perhaps they're trying to take too big of a step? I've actually stopped watching some SC VODs for quite sometime after the incident with Leta because what they did was simply not fair.

i don't get it - is the hold-back 3 days, but there has been some technical problems - or is it 30 days, or 3 months due to a mistyping?

Hey, finally get to watch this! Now if only I could watch the valor game after the 3 day premium hold period... which appears to be a 3 month holding period. >_>
