Rematch Rules of GomTV Star Invitational

The Power of Xnote Intel Centrino, Gom TV Star Invitational Rematch Rules

 

<Case 1>

* 3 wins - 1 person / 1 win and 2 defeats -3 persons

- the player with 3 wins will advance to the quarter final

1. Rematch round 1 (on the same day)

- The 1st place will advance and the rest three players, who won a game and lost 2 games, will have a round-robin tournament. The player who wins 2 will advance to the quarter final as a second place.

- If all players has 1 win and 1 defeat, they will have another rematch round Rematch round 2

- Rematches will be played in the same order as the original round.

- The each map of rematch will be determined by closed drawing. The head coaches of each team will draw. The assistant coach can draw on behalf of the head coach if the head coach is not present, and the player himself will draw in absence of assistant coach.

 

2. Rematch round 2 (on the same day)

- The rules are same as rematch round 1.

- If all players have 1 win and 1 defeat, they will have Final Rematch round.

- Rematches will be played in the same order as the original round and the map will be determined by closed drawing.

 

 

3. Final Rematch round.

- If no one is determined to advance to the quarter final after the rematch round 2, we will decide with the head coaches of each team whether they have another rematch on that day or the next day.

- The each map of final rematch round will be drawn by each teams head coaches right after rematch round 2.

- Two low ranked players in KeSPA Ranking will play against each other (a single match)

- The winner will play against the highest ranked player of the group.

- The final winner will advance as a second place of the group.

 

<Case 2>

* 2 wins and 1 defeat 3 persons / 3 defeats 1 person

- The player who loses 3 games will be dropped out.

- The basic rules are same as Case 1

1. Rematch round 1

- The 3 players with 2 wins and 1 defeat will have a round-robin tournament and the player who wins 2 games will advance to the quarter final as a first place.

- The player with 1 win 1 defeat will advance as a second place.

- If all players have 1 win and 1 defeat, they will have Rematch round 2.

 

2. Rematch round 2

- The rules are same as rematch round 1.

- If all players have 1 win and 1 defeat, they will have Final Rematch round.

 

3. Final Rematch round.

- If no one is determined to advance to the quarter final after the rematch round 2, we will decide with the head coaches of each team whether they have another rematch on that day or the next day.

- The highest ranked player in KeSPA will be advanced automatically as a first place.

- The other two players will have a single match and the winner will go to the quarter final as a second place.

 

<Case 3>

*2 wins and 1 defeat 2 persons / 1 win and 2 defeats 2 person

- The two players with 2 wins and a defeat will advance and be ranked first and second as winner takes all.
