2012.08.02 Dear GOMTV.net users, Starting on August 6th, the champions of South Korea face each other to see which players will receive the right to represent their country. On that day, the true clash between GSL and KeSPA players will begin, as true skill will be the difference between victory and defeat. The 32 players that have made it to Blizzard Entertainment’s Starcraft II World Championship Series (WCS) Korea Nationals have now been locked and loaded into the brackets which can be viewed here: Click here to enlarge This event will be broadcasted live in Korea for the local audience and in English for the international audience by GOMTV. The schedule for the upcoming matches as well as the times for these matches will be available on our calendar. Details: - Tournament period: 2012/08/06 - 2012/08/25 - Total participants: 32 players * 10 Players: Ranks 1-10 of the 2012 GSL Point Ranking * 6 Players: KeSPA recommended seeds * 16 Players: Determined via offline preliminaries on July 22nd-23rd - Total prize money: 30,000,000 KRW - Casters: Khaldor and Wolf Participants: - GSL Seeds (10): DongRaeGu, Mvp, MC, Seed, Genius, Squirtle, Parting, Hero, GuMiho, aLive - KeSPA Seeds (6): Rain, EffOrt, herO, Jaedong, RoRo, Soulkey - Qualified via Preliminaries (16): Hack, Puzzle, dreamertt, BBoongBBoong, Curious, CoCa, Creator, Happy, sC, YugiOh, horror, Leenock, Miya, Reality, TAiLS, Polt Format: - Double elimination tournament format - More details TBA Official WCS map selection process: - Player 1 and Player 2 are determined via coin flip - P1 vetoes one of the 7 maps - P2 vetoes one of the remaining 6 maps - P1 vetoes one of the remaining 5 maps - P2 vetoes one of the remaining 4 maps - P1 selects the map for the first set among the 3 remaining maps - P2 selects the map for the second set among the 2 remaining maps - The last remaining map will be used for the third set, if needed Additional information regarding live streams, VODs, etc. will be released in the near future. GOM, if your goal is to maximize profit, 1. try charging more, 2. having Tastostis cast more, and 3. paying them more. I would be shocked if that didn't help your bottom line and result in happier customers. You have my vote, your right, GOMTV please at least listen to this advice, or make a pool on the web. Im sure that Artosis and Tasteless will win, hear the feedback of your customers

If you have yearly tickets to both GSL and GSTL, then you can "buy" the Premium WCS season ticket (with ads) for $0 with the coupon they sent you.

- 2012.08.05 Quote : why isnt MMA playing? He failed to qualify. At #18 in the 2012 GSL Points standings, his ranking was too low to get a seed in the tournament (the top ten got in automatically), and he fell 2-1 to Inori in his qualifier group (which was eventrually won by dreamertt).
