That doesn't make any sense whatsoever... A person can broadcast a game from the GOM studio (since Blizzard makes us play on battle.net anyways) even if it was just finals of brackets. So GOM has the equipment to broadcast (duh) it's just a matter of if they want to. I think it comes down to portability, the equipment at the studio is not stuff that you can just carry and bring to any event. (at least that's what i suspect) What I heard was Torch had the sufficient equipment, but now there's no Torch in Korea, therefore, no more broadcasts. Don't shoot the messenger, shoot gom. |

A big part of it comes down to the fact that gom does not have the necessary equipment to cover the qualifiers from the venue (technomart or whatever). That equipment was with Torch and Torch left a long time ago, it's not only that they don't want to have the games covered, they don't have means to cover them. Any chance of it being broadcasted this time around? (Don't understand why you would try to protect the players by not allowing streaming of games, when all you'd be doing is removing a possible distraction that will be present and in a more intimidating manner when the actual code A games are played. All that seems to do is increase the likelihood of a player flaking out in the Code A games instead of the qualifiers) A big part of it comes down to the fact that gom does not have the necessary equipment to cover the qualifiers from the venue (technomart or whatever).
