The heart of e-Sports: GOMTV.net
Gretech, best known for its award-winning media player GOM Player, is hosting GOMTV.net, a leading global e-Sports broadcasting service used by viewers all over the world.
GOMTV.net launched in 2008 with the StarCraft I 'Star Invitational' Tournament. It has always been our goal to bring diverse high quality content to our international viewers by making use of the ready accessibility of internet media. Our service includes live streaming as well as a VOD database with full English commentary, offering the highest quality e-Sports content to our fans worldwide.
After becoming official broadcasting partner of Blizzard Entertainment in May 2010, we began planning the GSL (Global StarCraft® II League) with the goal to provide the best e-Sports content possible. The GSL had its inaugural season in September 2010, boasting the highest prize money and largest scale tournament to date. In 2011 the GSL officially started its regular season and has since then developed into the most prestigious StarCraft II league in the world, setting a standard in the industry.
All previous e-Sports leagues hosted in Korea have been confined to the Korean audience. The GSL however was able to get closer to its global fans through GOMTV.net and for that reason was able to quickly secure its place as the premier global StarCraft II league.
The GSL is currently being broadcasted in over 180 countries including the USA, Australia, Germany, France, Sweden and many more.
The heart of global e-Sports, GOMTV.net.
